Dermatology

Department of Dermatology at ACMS and BHDC is one of the most well equipped department in Delhi NCR .Our centre of excellence offers a comprehensive and holistic solution to all Dermatology and Cosmetology related conditions and problems. The Department of Dermatology is at the Third floor, Academic Block and all the academic activities are held at the lecture halls on the third and fourth floor.

Special emphasis is laid on the understanding and diagnosis with pictorial representation during the lecture series for the Undergraduate students. The clinical postings for the UG students are conducted at the Department of Dermatology at Base Hospital Delhi Cantt. Besides holding Theory and practical classes for the undergraduates,the department is also running a Post graduate DNB programme with a dedicated ward and 115 Affiliated In-patient beds catering to Dermatology leprosy and STD patients.

Individual attention is paid to every patient by an efficient and competent team of Dermatologists. All skin, hair and nail concerns are addressed by our team. All dermatosurgery procedures, including cosmetic procedures, are carried out in the Skin OT.

Academics

The undergraduates are posted in the department from the Second clinical year onwards. They have theory lectures and clinical postings in Dermatology every year. Students are encouraged to undertake research projects in the subject. The faculty also does research on topics of their interest such as Acne, vitiligo, Leprosy etc.

Training

The Out-patient clinic catered to 1.2 lakh patients in 2014. The outpatient clinic runs at two locations vizthe Polyclinic, Base Hospital and the Skin Centre(Ward). A general Dermatology ward, STD and Leprosy wards are maintained at the skin centre.
